What is Charge On The Go?
Charge On The Go is a rental power bank network in Kenya. Our self-service stations sit in airports, hospitals, restaurants and lounges. Rent a portable power bank, charge your phone while you move, and return it to any station.
How do I rent a power bank?
Download the Charge On The Go app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in. Find a station on the map, then scan the QR code on the station screen. Complete payment in the app and a power bank is released for you.
Will it work with my phone?
Yes. Every power bank has three built-in cables: Micro USB, USB-C and Lightning. That covers almost every smartphone and tablet, plus many small notebooks and accessories.
Do I have to return it to the same station?
No. You can return your power bank to any Charge On The Go station in our network. Rent at JKIA and drop it at your favourite Kilimani spot, for example.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
The current rental rate is shown in the app before you confirm, and you pay securely in the app. You will never be charged without seeing the price first.
Where are your charging stations?
We have stations at JKIA Terminal 1D, Moi International Airport in Mombasa, The Nairobi Hospital and top venues across Westlands, Kilimani, Lavington, Runda and Karen. See the full live list on our locations page.
How do I return the power bank correctly?
Tuck the cables back into the power bank, then slide it into an empty slot on any station until it clicks. The app confirms the return and ends your rental.
Can I advertise on Charge On The Go screens?
Yes. Every station has a tall digital screen in airports, hospitals and popular Nairobi venues. You can run video or static campaigns across the whole network or at selected locations. See our Advertise page or email info@chargeonthego.io.
Can we have a station at our event?
Yes. We keep event stations on standby for concerts, festivals, conferences and corporate events. Guests stay charged and the station screen can show your sponsors. Email info@chargeonthego.io with your event date and venue.
Can my business host a Charge On The Go station?
Yes! Restaurants, hotels, hospitals, malls, event spaces and transport hubs can host a station. Visit our Host a station page or call us to get started.
